Practice Policies

Our practice has several policies that are in place in order to ensure that our patients receive the best care possible.

If you are a current patient and need a refill on your medication, please send an email to spero@speropsychiatry.org. Be sure to include which medication you need, your provider and which pharmacy you would like it sent to. If you have a question about medication side effects or usage, please message your doctor in Simple Practice.

Our doctors do not answer refill requests from pharmacies. If you need a refill, please send an email to spero@speropsychiatry.org.

We require 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel an appointment. If you do not show for an appointment or cancel the day of, you will be considered a no show. Our office enforces a $100.00 no show fee. If you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, you will be considered a "no show" which means that you will not be seen for your appointment. We understand that emergencies happen. If you miss an appointment due to an emergency, please reach out to your doctor to discuss it.

Due to liability reasons, we cannot allow pets, even emotional support/emotional comfort animals to be present in the office. We do allow service animals that have been individually trained to assist with a specific disability as recognized by the ADA. If a service animal is present, it must be under control, leased at all times, and not pose a threat to others.

For minors, the patient must be present at every appointment. If the patient is not present, we cannot bill insurance and therefore you will be responsible for the full amount of the appointment.
